Door Handing:: Determining the handing of a door is simple; facing the door from the outside of the room or home, locate the location of the door hinges. If the hinges are on the right, it is a right-hand door. If the hinges are on the left, it is a left-hand door.
Door Thickness:: Locks can fit up to 2-1/4" thickness. Appropriate parts will be included when thicker door is chosen
Keying Services:: We will key locks alike at no additional charge. Only (2) keys will be included per key code.

Door Backset:: 2-1/2" for doors 1.375" thick and over, 2-3/4" for doors 1.75" thick and over. To measure an existing backset, start from the edge of the door and measure to the middle of the existing hold in the door. See image below for reference.
Mortise Lock Function:: Emergency Egress: From interior, when knob or lever is used, the deadbolt is unlocked and door opens. Door will stay locked when closed. Standard: Deadbolt must be unlocked before knob or lever will open door. Door stays unlock when closed.

Included: Interior and Exterior Trim, 5452V interior lever, Mortise Lock and Cylinder (everything needed for new installation in standard 1-3/4" thick door)
2-2-1/4" thick door options will include appropriate items for thicker door and also an extended strike.
Door thickness over 2-1/4" can work but we do ask you to call us with your measurements to order 1.800.358.2469

Mortise lock is not recommended for installation on doors with a current standard tubular door set up. Please call before ordering if you currently have more than 1 hole drilled in your door.
